Washington, DC — Congressman Barry Loudermilk (GA-11), Chairman of the Guardian Fund, is pleased to announce the PAC’s endorsement of one more veteran running for election this cycle, Captain Clay Higgins from Louisiana’s 3rd Congressional district. “I am proud to stand with this dedicated public servant running for Congress, and I look forward to working with him,” stated Loudermilk.
Today, the Guardian Fund is endorsing and donating $5,000 to Captain Higgins for Congress–an outstanding American.
Captain Clay Higgins is a lifelong resident of Louisiana. Higgins received his initial training in police work when serving as a military police officer in the United States Army. He has served Acadiana in Law Enforcement for the last eleven years and currently serves as Deputy Marshal for the City of Lafayette. Captain Higgins has become one of the nation’s most influential cops, regularly speaking to law enforcement agencies across America. Higgins is a strong advocate of what he calls… “The sacred oath of the badge”. He states that the sworn oath is not to a Sheriff, or a Chief, or a Marshal… It’s an oath of allegiance to the Constitution. He is a passionate defender of the Bill of Rights. As a Christian, Higgins is known for his refreshing focus on the power of the individual to be redeemed.
The Guardian Fund is a political action committee established in 2012. The mission is to support conservative veterans and minorities seeking elected office. The Guardian Fund has assisted in the election of 21 candidates nationwide since its inception. In the 2016 election cycle, Todd Young becomes the 24th candidate endorsed by the Guardian Fund.
