Sam is a U.S. Air Force Major (Retired). Sam spent more than 20 years serving in the U.S. Air Force, first as an enlisted K9 Handler and later as a Support Officer. His service included combat support in Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, and tours in Panama and Korea. He retired in 2013 after earning a Bronze Star for his efforts in Afghanistan.
