Knight served in the U.S. Army from 1985-1987 as a track systems mechanic in Friedberg, Germany. After his tour ended, Knight served in the Army Reserve. Following his service in the Army, Knight served for 18 years with the Los Angeles Police Department, eventually being elected to both the California State Assembly and California State Senate. He currently serves as the U.S. Representative for California’s 25th congressional district.
