Tom served in the Navy for over 20 years as a submariner and his resume includes: Legislative Defense Fellow, Flag Aide to ADM Patrick Walsh, and Military Assistant for the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Homeland Defense & Global Security. Following his Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis, Tom volunteered to go back to sea as the Carrier Strike Group 10 Submarine Operations and Training Officer, completing a record-breaking 206-day continuous deployment onboard the USS EISENHOWER to the Middle East.
